What is Ayurchikitsak?

The word chikitsak denotes a physician and Ayur chikitsak conveys a willingness to cure through the basic principles i.e. healing through ayurveda. Ayurveda not only concentrates on curing diseases but the ancient texts guide us to be disease free forever. The main aim of ayurveda is not treating but its preserving the health of a healthy individual.

It says “swasthasya swastha rakshanam aturasya vikar prashamanam cha”. And then it focuses on treating the diseased. In the initial pages of the granthas the acharyas have given emphasis on dinacharya (day to day regime) and ritucharya (season wise regime).

Hence Ayurchikitasak.com does not just aim at helping you get rid of your diseases but also it aims at guiding the healthy individuals to stay fit and have a disease free healthy life.

Late Vaidya G. G. Patwardhan(1947-2008)
"Dedicated" would be the word appropriate enough to describe my father late Vaidya G. G. Patwardhan. In one word, he was a staunch believer of ayurvedic principles which reflected in his own aachar, aahar and vihar (behavior, diet and activity).

Punctual and reliable in his deeds, he always believed in giving quality treatment in a very economic way. Words fall short but feelings remain untold, with his blessings we move ahead.
